If you accept a date to go for something to eat, you eat something whether you're hungry or not. I went out on a lunch date with a guy and I ordered the chef salad because I happen to love chef salad. After the date he told me to give him a call sometime when I was interested in having a real meal. Apparently it annoyed him that I ordered salad.

I think going out to eat on a first date is the worst thing you can do!! I get so neroucs. I'd rather go shopping or to a park or elsewhere...

If I'm hungry, I'm going to order food. If the relationship is going anywhere, he's going to see you eat sometime.

I agree with 7kimba7, I am not the kind of person to shy away from food. I never order salad on a first date because I would fear having lettuce stuck in my teeth...always safe with chicken!

I usually hate dinners, suppers and in general late night snacks and meals..
but if it's just appetizers or light stuff and not everyday then fine!
